In general, the higher the compressive strength of raw materials, the lower the plastic deformation and ductility of non-standard pipe joints used in mining. Unilateral pursuit of high toughness to enhance the load-bearing capacity of components may not necessarily mean safety, as too much reduction in plastic deformation of raw materials can lead to increased stress sensitivity in the event of short-term loads, which can lead to brittle fracture of components. Therefore, while enhancing the tensile strength, the plastic deformation index value of the transition pipe joint raw material should also be considered.
